The Coolpix 4500 provides superior images with the combination of a 4.0 effective megapixel CCD that offers a maximum resolution of 2,272 x 1,704 pixels and high-performance 4x Optical Zoom-Nikkor lens at 38 - 155mm (35mm equivalent). Sharp imaging is optimized through a five-area multi autofocus with an extra wide focus range for quick and diverse image composition. CP 4500 FIRST SAMPLES POSTED (07/19/02)
We have just gotten a review camera from Nikon this week and we are starting our several week long process of testing the camera out at some of our usual locations before we post our final opinions. We will be posting initial impressions and comments with each our upcoming postings over the next few weeks, so stay tuned. We have a very nice set of shots from Disneyland which will be posted by the end of this weekend.
We have up-loaded a couple dozen shots taken from the Nikon Coolpix 4500 on Thursday evening at Downtown Disneyland. We have not had a chance to resize them put our normal sample pages together, but for those of you who want to see how the CP 4500 does, we are going to post a link to the index page which will allow you to download the original files, which are about 1.3 megs each. All shots were taken in fully automatic, no changes at all. We have to get going now, the haze is burning off, so off to shoot some more. For you bird lovers be sure to check out picture no. 44, the camera did very well with this full zoom, close up from about 8 feet away.
